Probably one of the HAPPIEST families I know.
Not only because Jay McKeral is my dearest friend and mentor, just because they are.
And, YES, they're considered a GAY family.
I have never seen a more organized family where everyone helps without argument, working together as a team.
It is a joy to observe Lily, help her younger sister, Rose, without complaint.
I have NEVER seen happier, more well adjusted kids, than I have witnessed with this family.
Are they perfect ? No. But, hell, if I were to come back as anything other than one of MY cats, I would want to come back and live in this household.
I'm offended by anyone who says, kids need a Mother and a Father.
Kids need people who love and don't judge them.
Kids need people they can trust and talk to.
Kids need people who will turn off the television, the computers, and the phones, and take the time to discuss the daily relevant issues that arise.
That's what kids need.
I have to commend my friend, Jay, ( and her wife, Jaci) for being an exceptional Mom, because when I knew her (Jay) way back when, it was "wine, women, and song."
Now, it's marriage, kids, and community.

The Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational.
Here is a little blurb taken from their website :The Frank Sinatra Starkey Hearing Technologies Celebrity Invitational is dedicated to the memory and music of Frank Sinatra and benefits the Barbara Sinatra Center for Abused Children.
The Frank Sinatra Starkey Hearing Technologies Celebrity Invitational enjoys a rich history as one of the marquee golf and fundraising events in the Palm Springs, California desert.
Each year, celebrities, amateur contestants, loyal sponsors and enthusiastic spectators from all over the country look forward to returning to this unique "celebrity friendly" event.
This was a great event, held at Eagle Falls Golf Course in Indio.
Beautiful weather, and the celebrities very accomodating to the crowds, especially the kids.

She passed unexpectedly at 21 years of age.
I'm not a parent, so I can't imagine enduring the loss of a child.
I have lost people, a gilrfriend, my parents, friends to cancer ( fuck cancer by the way ) so, I can only imagine the loss of your child must be a BILLION times more hurt than anything.
My prayers and thoughts are with you, and your family, Leo...and if anyone reading this, could, just for a second, send Leo a BIG HUG, and tell the people you care about, that you love them, in Honor of Danielle, that would be much appreciated..
Life is short. Sometimes we don't know how short.

This is one of my favorite shots from that project.
Thank you Joelle Stanbridge for your time towards this project and for being an advocate for those who do not have a voice.

She and her Mother own SunLife Skin Care on Fred Waring in Palm Desert California.
I was using Proactive for years until Valentina got a hold of me.
It seems at 51, I should no longer be using such harsh cleansers on my face.
She now has me using Dermalogica, which feels better on my skin, and I LOVE it.
So, if you live in the area, or just passing through, give Valentina a call.
They treat you like Family.
Oh...by the way, this is her real skin...no airbrushing.

It seems like ages since I've written anything on here.
I'm sure you've all missed me...lol.
Anyway, I've been very busy over here in The Coachella Valley.
With the Palm Springs International Film Festival winding down, hopefully, I'll be concentrating on other projects, and not having to run all over shooting events.
I was too late to obtain my Press Pass for the Red Carpet Gala, and would have gotten more pictures, if my friend, Maureen wasn't taking up all the photographic space she could, while yelling out stars names like we were at a freakin' Beetles concert.
I did manage to shoot this little tidbit of Matthew McConaughey as he was passing by.
One of the very few celebrities who walked the line, signing autographs and taking selfies with people.
Nice guy.
